In Coming of Age we focus on our favorite boy genius, Wesley Crusher. In this episode he has won the coveted chance to take the Starfleet Academy entrance Exam.

The Crew of the Enterprise drop him off at a testing facility where he will be challenged in numerous ways. There he meets four other people, a Human, a Vulcan and a Benzite and they discover that they will be competing against one another for the highest score, much like on some reality TV shows.

Meanwhile Captain Picard's old friend Admiral Quinn and his attache Lt. Commander Remmick come aboard and begin interrogating  the crew to discover any mistakes or incongruities in the mission log. What at first seems to be a witch hunt turns out to be a chance for Captain Picard to become comandante of Starfleet Acadamy. Quinn also reveals his suspicions of a conspiracy at the very core of Starfleet and possibly the Federation.

Starfleet, Boy, I'm with you usually. These other dorks are way too critical. I believe my love for the show allows me to be more generous with my ratings. I would have given this a 4 at least. Possibly a 4.5. However I do appreciate an opposing viewpoint.

Also Voyager rules!
